“After a trend of rustic weddings, we want to inspire brides out there to consider an all-green, modern look with gold accents. Taking inspiration on the concept of natural simplicity, anyone can follow this look without breaking the bank. We have prepared a styled look that is made up of many different elements of a possible wedding, from the invitation design, bridal look, floral detail and decorations. Check out the photos and you will fall in love with this look created by the creative talents.
This photoshoot was done in Noah’s Barn Restaurant in Bandung. The reason we chose this place was for its possibility in creating small and intimate events in the venue and the good food. This mini project started over a casual discussion with Andre and Agnes from FIRE, WOOD & EARTH, we did not really have a big expectation on how it should be, but we were all so happy to work together with the many vendors involved in this shoot and could not have asked for a better result.
It was our utmost pleasure to have Verena Mia on board to do this photoshoot with us. The dress that is customed for this shoot is a cropped lace top style with two different skirts that brides can opt to change the look from ceremony to reception. The skirt is made flowy, and it is definitely the look many brides would want for an outdoor or country wedding.
Besides the bridal look, we also had a flower girl look. The dress is specially customed by Shierly Joediarta for this styled shoot, a white simple dress that is designed to be airy and comfortable for any flower girl. If I could share this secret, our mini model did not want to take off the dress after the shooting as she so loved wearing it.
We also had the pleasure to collaborate with Debora Natalia for a natural look make up and hair. Also, if you would notice one of the hairdo and how she uses leaves instead of flowers as the hairpiece in the bride’s look. You may want to steal this look for a Roman or Grecian inspired style. Love love love.
The handbouquet and flower crown is courtesy to Irene from Pretty Wildflowers, a posy made of eucalyptus, white scabiosa and lillium flowers. The look is deliberately like a bunch of flowers you just pick up from the garden.
This styled shoot includes different decoration ideas that you can incorporate to your wedding anytime. First, we have the Wedding Ceremony setup. A combination of hanging leaves, gold accent and details.
Then we also have the Bridal Table setup. Choosing to go with wooden table to emphasize on the natural elements, paired with crossback wooden chairs, decorated with leaves and small white flowers that do not scream for attention.
Lastly, we created the look for a photobooth, or some may call a photo corner. We used gold frames surrounded by leaves to create a natural texture.
To complete the look, we have included the stationery design that can go with this inspiration. We approached Putri from Prestige Details to take up this task and was very pleased with the result of this collaboration. The attention to font, the design of invitation, menu, placecards and sample favour was in line with the theme that we desired for this photoshoot.
We could not be happier with this collaboration and by sharing this, we hope many brides will be inspired by this! Pass it on.”

And here are the complete set of photos of the styled shoot..
As a wedding photographer, I had always wanted to document a wedding that is different.
Not just different in terms of the look, but one with a distinct story and vibe that can give me memorable experience which I can remember for a long time.
My wish came true when I got introduced to Isabel & Meng Tat.
Meng Tat is a pilot. Isabel is a designer. She loves his loving, chivalrous and cheesy nature. And he loves her for her quirkiness.
They both love travelling! Meng Tat would take Isabel to go on holiday trips and enjoy good food. They had many amazing and memorable adventures together, such as when they took a trip to Bali together and officially started their relationship. Isabel would always remember the special moment when Meng Tat stole a kiss from her cheek. Or when they did cycling and exploring around in Taiwan on their 1st year anniversary. Another one would be when they survived a trip to Mount Everest base camp, battered by weather and altitude sickness, it was indeed exceptional.
The most special one would be during their trip in India, where they stayed at a desert camp in Rajashtan. Meng Tat who likes astronomy often tells Isabel about planets and stars. That night, after a private dinner on top of the sand dunes, they were stargazing and he pointed out ‘Sirius’ the brightest star. He pretended to ‘pluck’ the star from the sky and suddenly popped up a ring which he was hiding in his hand..and that was when he asked Isabel to marry him.
Their wedding took place at Pine Hill camp in Bandung. A place that was perfect for Isabel and Meng Tat who wanted to do a destination wedding, with cool weather and high elevation as the criteria.
This wedding was so extraordinary because it was full of their personal touches and really described their unique personalities. From the custom-made wooden rings, the bridesmaids dresses and boho dress which Isabel made herself, to Isabel’s pompom sandals which was also a DIY. Their wedding was heavily inspired by Wes Anderson movies (their favorites), and also Isabel’s love of all things colorful. Every details were elaborated beautifully to fit the quirky Wes Anderson & boho chic theme.
Their closest families, relatives and friends flew from Malaysia and other countries to join their meaningful celebration. Yenny, Isabel’s closest friend, officiated the ceremony. It brought lots of happy tears and laughter among the good friends. Although it rained for some time, it seemed like it didn’t take out the joy of the day at all! The wedding ended with a fun dance where everyone joined in. It was hands down the most unique and fun wedding I’ve documented so far!
